The peace was only interrupted by the ticking of the large grandfather clock, the occasional purrs of her cat, the soft thump of the dog’s tail on the hardwood and the relaxed breathing of all four occupants.

His eyes had always fascinated her, ever since that first fateful night in Camden. They weren

He sighed and finally started walking towards the door shoving his hand in his pockets along the way. He was definitely overdressed – his white button-up shirt was too classy and his jeans to tidy, but he couldn’t help himself. He hated looking sl

"No, Den, I don't," you said firmly. You turned around and went back to reading your book.
"I can see the way that you look at him!"
"How do I?" you asked.
"You stare at him all lovey-dov--" Mathias began, but he was cut off by a choking noise.
You sighed and bookmarked your book. Without turning around, you said, "Lukas, it's alright. He wasn't bugging me that much."

The street was filled with the aromatic scent of late afternoon sun and the oncoming tinge of rain. Sunlight poured down through the alleyways of the intricate city, lighting up the little stalls that lined the avenue. Vendors of every shape and size crowded the street, selling their freshest produce and homemade delicacies. (f/n) could spend hours roaming the small city, just taking in all of it's sites and sounds, but she was here to visit a friend.
Because she worked for the UN, most of (f/n)'s time was spent at World Conferences helping the nations organize and document their ongoing discussions and resolutions of international problems.
